Mobile app development and AI integration in a single product: Mese Appal is an interactive storytelling app for children that writes an unlimited number of unique tales with artificial intelligence, alongside a carefully edited story library and audio tales for families.
The business challenge
The bedtime story is a daily ritual in most families, but storybooks run out, and every child wants to hear something different. There are plenty of storytelling apps on the market, but they typically offer static content: the same stories over and over, which children quickly grow tired of.
The idea of Mese Appal was built on that gap: a Hungarian-language mobile application that never runs out of stories, because it tailors every tale to the child and to that particular evening. This required developing the AI that generates the stories and a complete subscription product around it, from payments to account management.
The solution: an AI story generator and a story library in one app
During development we built the product on two pillars. The first is the AI story generator, based on a large language model, which writes parameterised stories: with the child’s name, favourite characters, a chosen setting and a moral. The second is the edited content, which provides a stable, high-quality base offering alongside the generated tales.

Technology background
